A 2010 report notices three commercial machine being build.
High concern for new-tech operation safety for kitefield workers is in focus.

Hello,
16 March 2010
after a few mails with JoeF and the KGR staff, I summarize here some
notes:
1)
The construction site of the first not mobile prototype of KiteGen has
started yesterday (2010-03-15).
It is going to be build on the top of a hill in
Berzano San Pietro (Province of Asti - Piedmont - northern Italy)
which is a very small
town... and we are talking about a KiteGen Stem,
of course.
Thanks to the availability of wind at high altitudes
and through the Kite Gen (R), you can provide, in each area, amount of
power even greater than those of fossil or nuclear energy currently
used and this without much Specimen layout, without creating hazards
for 'man, without creating environmental damage and at a cost
competitive with current market conditions. To reach the wind at high
altitudes and exploit the greater kinetic energy, Kite Gen from a
radical change of perspective: no more heavy structures and static as
the current wind turbines, but instead light machinery, dynamic and
intelligent. In the air, to steal energy from the wind to a height of
800/1000 meters, airfoils power, highly efficient wings semi automatic
pilot. On the ground, all the heavy machinery for power generation. To
merge the two systems, composite cables that transmit traction while
controlling the direction and angle to the wind.

Historically and for gaze of investors, site construction started
yesterday for KiteGen Stem operation site.
Public funds are involved.

The site is with content, but servers sometimes are having a challenge
serving the content.
Success of the KiteGen Stem will be important for all AWEIA community.
Stem So far, their stem is
a launching-control boom, not a working lever for generation, but an
assist for a Yo-Yo method.
(See differently boom methods: Hybrid method within the larger family of wafting levers, rotating
levers, rocking arms, oscillating levers, shaking handle, and TipBoom or
Tipping Boom. The Stem method involves some out and in with some period of
non-energy production. And blow starts, and 3-D onboard sensors.) KiteGen
moves into "stem" tech

Future plans
•To build in 18 months a new yo-yo prototype with a power of 1 MW.
•This prototype will demonstrate the feasibility of building in further18
months a windfarm with a power of 10 MW with energy production costs lower than
from oil.
•To build in 36 months a prototype with carousel configuration, demonstrating
all the functionalities of a 50 MW plant on a circular structure of 500 m
radius.
