US8247912  Atmospheric Resources Explorer by Tiago Da Costa Duarte Pardal of Lisbon, Portugal; and Marco Aurelio Baptista De Almeida Freire of Voorhout, Netherlands.

  • For wing set, they use the term "airborne group."  For tether set, they use the term "cable group." For the resistive anchor set, they use the term "ground group."    They explore ever-up kiting by use of lighter-than-air (LTA) gases; they mention hydrogen, helium, methane, and neon, but recognize that other LTA gases exist.

  • In their rehearsal of prior-art, they seem to unfairly restrict teachers to some limitations without giving those teachers the freedom they ask for in the present patent. Careful analysis would be needed to fully give text to this matter.
