Tail Power
Flygen or groundgen or aerial work done
working tails

FlyGen: The tail generates electricity aloft and sends the energy to load by various means; the load may be aloft or on the ground.  Or the tail generates torque to be used aloft for various tasks.

GroundGen: The tail generates torque; the torque is lined to the ground by various means to drive pumps or generators.

  • flagging piezoelectrics in tail arrangements?
  • SpiralAirFoil™ as tail for power production tailing main wings?
  • Helical turbines as tails of kited wing sets for production flygen power or torque for groundgen?
  • HAWT horizontal axis wind turbines in downwind posture
  • Let main wings do the lifting; the tails will cost drag as the tails produce power
  • SuperTurbine® as tail in lifter-kite system

  • Consider line-laundry tails as tails for this purpose. Thus, a lifter wing system may carry "tails" on the tether set.
