• Nuclear waste spread from above across lands and industrial centers
• Tethered aircraft already hold (and always have) the endurance record for heavier than air aircraft. The new technology allows them to persist even more in flight. As you know, many of our fellow designers anticipate months or even years of session endurance.
• They are generally the most robust of any aircraft type. Projectiles will tend to pass right through them without effect. They are also potentially so cheap as to be "disposable."
• They can loiter at altitudes beyond easy reach by ground fire & be very hard for radar, visual, or heat-seeking sensors to spot.
• Persistent station-keeping by a flying weapons platform is slow flying, but is militarily useful. Military helicopters are slow fliers without endurance
