Notice that the full control system mimic's the arrangment found in the early year of 1908 in Breslau in a hang glider with a triangle control bar where the pilot moves the frame of the kite glider as he or she is tether hung from the lifting wing.

Igor Bensen in early 1950s featured the hung-from-wing pilot while the pilot pushed and pulled the wing via frame to control flight via a net weight-shifting functionality. In free gliding off boat tow, the device is a free-flight kite glider or hang glider as the pilot is hanging from a tensional tether to the wing ...here the seat-hanging parts.  Thus, the control system for weight-shfiting by frame control using a from of the triangle control frame (sometimes shaped to inverted T, etc) was well invented at least by the first decade of the 1900s.

Notice the no-stick leading ledge of the topsail. Notice the spar forming the leading edge of the lower sail. Notice the Platz Sailwing glider in other sources. 

Notice that the anchor to a kite system may be moving, even a falling human; this wing and its kiting could have a human  falling as the anchor to give reistance to the wing. How would such arrangement be for gliding kiting?  In the gliding format of the kite system "paraglider" is a term that became used in the early 1960s.
