Published on Dec 13, 2012     Published: December 13, 2012: M2 : Mini Mothra        And discuss with replies here: AirborneWindEnergy/message/8235

MiniMothra uses the same rope-load-path and tarp architecture as MOTHRA1.
Built to test flight dynamics - launch, land, climb, fly high, rotate as wind shifts, carry payloads, etc... .

Sail area: 300 sq feet --- (MOTHRA1 = 3000 sq ft)

100' of rope attached to each wingtip
Flies comfortably at +/- 40 degrees pulling hard on the anchors . . .

Filmed in Austin and Port Aransas, Texas Oct-Nov 2012
