History of Hang Gliding Museums        

All are welcome to advance text about various hang gliding museums in the world.  What are their histories, holdings, curation quotients, challenges, forums, publications, biases, officers, visions, slants, limitations, missions, addresses, visiting arrangements, products, needs,  etc.   A distinct effort at collecting and preserving a variety of hang gliding related items shall constitute a threshold of what might constitute a "hang gliding museum" for the purposes of study. A small project may be the seed of further deeper museum establishing.    This page and pages in its folder are ever open for growth and change. • Why form a tiny or large museum dedicated to hang gliding items?   
   
• What are hang gliding items?   Wings, cables, books, periodicals, memos, photographs, videos, brochures, flyers, harnesses, lines, anchors, towing devices, letters, clippings, full flying systems, system auxiliary items, certificates, tickets, reports, papers, drawings, essays, pamphlets, signatures, patents, digital files, printing plates, negatives of photographs, notes, wing covers, logos, insignia, queenposts, basebars, kingposts, system parts, helmets, instruments, etchings, foot-print impressions, dirt from special flying sites, replicas, slides, construction tools, video, film, lists, competition records,   ..., etc.
   
• Since every kite system can be set as a hang gliding system by having the resistive anchor set of the kite system moving freely in a fluid, say air, then museums that attend to collecting and preserving kite systems are certainly welcome to add to the culture here. Some designs of kite systems that are in hang gliding mode give pleasure in niche realms of appreciation; people will have their preferences for how they spend their time and coin. We welcome all.
