Harry,
kPower is focused on CA Polar First Nations Communities as AWE early adopters. We have worked out simple rigging for TRL9 COTS power kites to convert diesel generators into kite hybrids. The dirty secret in AWE is that its hard work (or great fun, if you love kites). The First Nations hate their winter diesel dependence (no solar option), and mastering kites will be a new basis for their cultural viability.

We have active connections to CA First Nations, but Covid has put current on-location R&D on hold. Hoping you can help Canada be where AWE first takes hold to power communities.

We hope you will attend a Seattle conference next year, if we swing it. Hoping DaveC is lurking here. He must know Makani collapsed just as predicted in 2007 (wrong stuff). Hoping some big OLs are around to haul on cableways and demo MW power.

Attached graphics lay out some basics, just a taste of countless kPower experiments and ideas.
