Topic    Line Climbers
  • One-way climbers: they climb the line and then stay aloft.
  • Return-sailing climbers: they sail downward on the line.
  • Return by gravity: after going up they change form and slide back down the line.
  • Detacher line climbers: they go up and then detach from the line and fall away from the kite system.
  • Climbers that perform special tasks
    • Kite-killer climbers; they are sent up to somehow stop the kiting.
    • Humans sail up line to achieve certain purposes (work, sky-dive, hang glider, observe, rest, cool off, ...)
    • Send up batteries to be charged aloft.
    • Send up items for dropping from aloft.
    • They go up to fetch items from aloft for return to base.

Line climber AWES to generate electricity using PTO loop being driven in one direction only during cycles of climb and de-climb

Have line climber pull a a line of a working loop; at top end, have the line climber triggered to grabe the other side of the working loop while also changing AoA to sail down the main lifted taut line. The working loop then continues to go in just one direction to drive ground-gen in one direction only.    Details may be openly developed.
