Hi Chief Planes and MarcoG,                                     Nov. 7, 2020

Adding some news and people to the discussion. We are still hoping to bring an AWE conference to the Pacific NW (AWEC2021SeaTac), just across the Sound from the T'Sou-ke Nation, which might be KGM's ideal opportunity to visit and advance shared goals.

The US Dept of Energy (DOE) is increasing its role in AWE R&D, especially after the US Election making renewable energy and urgent priority. I have copied here Brian Smith and Jochem Weber, of DOE NREL Lab. They are getting to know the North American AWE Community in order to help coordinate International (IEA) action. "Distributed Wind" is how they classify AWE for remote communities, like the Polar First Nations we have been considering as Early-Adopters. Of course Alaska, which the DOE represents, and the Canadian North, are one Inuit region, plus Greenland. So I add Carin Eve Cole of the legendary Inuit Windsled Program here, which hopes to resume Kite-powered Polar Science Expeditions with a new Greenland Expedition next year, based from Inuit Community. So in effect we are spanning the entire Inuit World with potential AWE R&D introduction. Everyone remembers Joe Faust, the "Grandfather of Modern AWE", also included here. We depend on the Northern First Nations to make vital contributions to AWE technology, to make it ready for the World, and liberate them from Diesel Dependence.

While the Covid Pandemic has slowed physical travel, and will continue to be a planning factor, 2021 will be very busy for AWE R&D, whether online, at our home bases, or in remote places. We all have a lot of work to do! Its will be great when we finally can get together in one place, which might be AWEC2021SeaTac, or some Polar AWE Beta-Community.

Best to All,

Santos

News

"I have formalize the agreement with the Italian company Kitenergy - already engaged from many years on AWE research - for the construction of a first component (the KSU **) of the KGM1 linear generator, commissioned by a third party outside the EU:

It is an important step that follows the technical due diligence process on our initiative, which marks a growing confidence in the project.
As, to date still only part-time engaged in the initiative and without a own budget, we are still looking for other partners to join forces and finance the entire project.

Ciao da Torino!
