AWEC2021 SeaTac Conference- Request for support
- Dear AWEurope,
AWEC conferences began in the US (HAWPcon09, AWEC2010), with vital EU
participation. Early conferences rotated between EU and US, but its
been many years since a US conference, as EU insiders quietly decided
not to rotate AWEC conferences globally, on various pretexts.
Tremendous pent-up energy exists to once again have a US AWEC
conference. For five years, the Seattle-Tacoma Boeing Museum of Flight
has been lined up for such a conference. Recent polling of US players
is consistently eager. The nearby University of Washington has
expressed positive hosting interest, with AWE R&D underway. Count
on the University of British Columbia as well, and figures like Chief
Gordon Planes of the T'Sou'ke Nation, who attended an EU AWEC. The list
of willing North American players is too long to list here.
Aympyx nevertheless seems to be trying on Twitter for a second Irish
AWE Conference in 2021, after WESC AWE 2019 in Cork. Milan is rumored
as another EU AWEC option. Italy has never been allowed a conference by
the VC insiders who made AWEC a Northern EU monopoly. Monopolized AWECs
are a serious academic integrity and business fairness issue,
ultimately a liability for those responsible.
A SeaTac event positions unified AWE R&D at mid-cap level to tap
into BEV fund billions. Support for SeaTac is best for EU, rather than
divide the AWE world further into possibly competing conferences, and
continued fragmented R&D. Academic AWE is best served by rotating
events that students all over can afford to attend, as they come
around. AWEurope is hereby requested to embrace an AWEC2021SeaTac, or
at least an Italian event, to break the VC stalemate of only Northern
EU conferences.
Thank You, AWEurope, for not imposing another Irish AWE event so soon,
in favor of once again having AWECs rotate around the world. Embrace
the future of AWE conferences soon in Asia and anywhere else that
R&D becomes active. SeaTac is ideal for AWEC2021, for the good of
our emergent industry. Please help make AWEC2021 SeaTac a spectacular
success for all the AWE world. A red carpet will be rolled out for the
fine EU players.
