A short video showing the testing of our "Kite Control Unit" prototype (KCU1) in August 2009 at Birrfeld, Switzerland. This was the culmination of an 8 month bachelor's thesis project at the University of Applied Sciences of Northwestern Switzerland (Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz - FHNW). The project was led by Corey Houle, who also did the mechanical design. The electrical design and implementation was done by Markus Huwyler and Rafael Anderes. The project is currently being continued under the name "SwissKitePower", in co-operation with Automatic Controls Laboratory at ETH Zurich and the Center For Synergetic Structures at EMPA. The project's industrial and financing partner is Alstom Switzer
