Storing energy
generated by kite systems
(not yet comprehensive)     Send in your ideas:   News@energykitesystems.net

Kite systems can store energy in various forms to do work later. Stored energy may do useful work that saves one from having to use a different source other than kites. Stored energy may later be used to generate electricity.    Storing energy from kite systems may be in the form of increasing head of water in a dam, increasing potential energy of solid masses, charge sets of springs, advance the rotation of a flywheel, etc.

  • Pump water to a high head. Let the water down from the high head when wanted for drinking, bathing, irrigating, etc. But while letting the water down, let the water operate electric generators to operate other items.   Thus, the kite system operates when the the wind permits; energy is stored via water lifting. The gains feed multiple purposes.

  • Charge batters and ultracapacitors.

  • Let the kite system's energy quicken a flywheel.  Draw the flywheel as needed for mechanical drives or for generating electricity.   Draw the flywheel's energy to tow up a hang glider and thus save from having to use the oil-gas of a towing truck or car.

  • Ultracapacitors
  • Hybrid ultracapacitors
  • Supercapacitor
  • Symmetric double-layer capacitor

  • Mass lifting
  • Lift mass to mountain top. Release gained potential energy by letting the mass down an incline on the side of the mountain. During the the controlled released fall of the mass, let the cable drive an electric generator. Mass could be dirt, water, lead, buildings, recreational view rooms, etc.
